Downloads

This page shows all files that Tiberian Technologies has made available for download. If you do not know what all of these files are, you most likely only need the first download (Tiberian Technologies client).

The Tiberian Technologies client installer

The client patch with the TT scripts. Adds a whole lot of new things like automatic map downloader and seriously improved anti-cheat measures. The installer removes old scripts installations and other mods like RR, because these are incompatible with TT, due to various technical difficulties. Don't worry though; most features of those are also included in the TT scripts.

The Tiberian Technologies server files

The server patch with the TT-scripts. Adds a whole lot of new things like auto-mapdownloader and seriously improved anti-cheat measures. The zip-file contains all the files needed to convert your FDS to a Tiberian Technologies FDS.

Some things are significantly different from the current FDS, things like the anti-cheat and the auto-mapdownloader, because, while it works automatically for the client, it does need more information on the serverside. Therefore we recommend to read the Tiberian Technologies server owner install guide and SSGM documentation to update and configure the server. Note that you will need to port any modifications made to your sever if you want to keep them on 4.1. The necessary source code can be found below.

The Tiberian Technologies server files – 4.1 patch 1 (replaced by patch 2)

The Tiberian Technologies server files – 4.1 patch 2 (please install 4.1 first and then 4.1 patch 2)

The Tiberian Technologies source code

The releasable source code for Tiberian Technologies Scripts. You will need this package if you plan on modifying scripts.dll or writing new plugins for Tiberian Technologies scripts.

Some things are significantly different from the current scripts, due to a stricter policy to prevent cheaters from making cheats with the help of scripts source code. This might limit you a bit more than the original scripts source code. Therefore we recommend to read the Tiberian Technologies "creating a new SSGM plugin" guide.

Source code differences

Below are the .diff files that contain the changes between incremental versions. You can apply them using a utility that can apply patches, for example Tortoise SVN supports this. If you have custom modifications, apply the .diff file below to port them over to the new version.

The Tiberian Technologies mod tools

The modtools for Tiberian Technologies. You will need this package if you plan on modifying Renegade and want to make use of the latest leveledit and other tools available for Renegade. This package contains a updated leveledit executable, tools to optimize your maps and models for Renegade and W3dview, to view W3d files. We recommend to read the included perfdocs.rtf to get the maximum performance out of your map.

The Tiberian Technologies mod tools – 4.1

Advanced string editor

Allows you to edit the strings.tdb file for modding purposes. This file contains the text strings that are used in Renegade for translation to different languages. Mods typically want to change these strings, for example to change the name of a building.

This editor is much more advanced than the editor integrated in LevelEdit. It features everything that the LevelEdit string editor can do, but can also be used to add, remove, and change column names, to search for strings by value, and to export to C header files or to text files. After editing, these text files can be re-imported into the Advanced String Editor to generate a valid strings.tdb file.

The advanced string editor is now part of the mod tools, downloadable from the section above.
